When you order a server, you choose a location. It looks like a detail, but it’s one of the most important decisions – **it affects every player’s ping**.

## Why location matters

Data travels over the network at a finite speed and passes through many routers along the way. The closer the server is to your players (and the better the connectivity), the lower the **latency (ping)**. In shooters and PvP every millisecond counts, but even in Minecraft it’s the difference between smooth and rubber-banding gameplay.

## Poland – our primary location

Poland is the core of our infrastructure:

- our most powerful machines with **AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D**,
- **premium anti-DDoS protection** that we develop ourselves,
- close to **central Europe** – the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland and neighbours.

**Recommended for:** most communities in central Europe and anyone who wants maximum performance and the highest level of protection.

## Germany – secondary location

Germany is one of Europe’s main internet hubs:

- our **own anti-DDoS protection with game filters**,
- excellent reach for players in **western Europe** (DE, AT, NL, BE…).

**Recommended for:** international communities, servers with players across Europe and as a second location for test or backup servers.

## How to decide

1. **Where are your players?** Mostly central Europe → Poland. A mix from across Europe → consider Germany.
2. **What are you running?** Demanding, high-traffic servers benefit from the performance and premium protection in Poland.
3. **Need redundancy?** Spread your projects across both locations.

## Can I change location later?

Yes. If another location suits you better, contact support and we’ll move your server. Your data stays intact.

More about both locations on the [Locations](/en/locations/) page.
